I personally enjoy reading those random fact posts in different blogs, I think it's such a fun way to get to know the person behind the blog better. Don't you think? So gathered some random facts together and voila a !
I always sleep with earplugs, I can't sleep without them. I started using them when I first moved to Barcelona and was living in a really touristic street and could literally hear everything from the street. Now I guess I could sleep without them, but I find it so comfy not to hear anything, it's like being in your own bubble! I have to be in a really, really quiet place if I don't put them on.. The worst thing I know is not having a good night of sleep!
I didn't use to be a morning person. For the first 23 years of my life I was quite the opposite actually. Then in the beginning of 2016 I started running in the mornings and changed my lifestyle to a healthier one, and all of a sudden I was a morning person! My family was pretty surprised about it since I've always been really hard one to wake up in the mornings and I used to be the grumpiest person on earth if I had to wake up early.
I love surprises, always have and always will! Giving them and receiving them! It's just the best feeling ever to see someone's surprised face and to know that you made their day a little bit better. I love small gestures that show that the other person was thinking about you. And what it comes to bigger surprises, I will never forget my dad's face when I showed up to his office few years ago after not seeing him in six months. It was the first time that I went to visit my hometown after moving to Barcelona, and I told everyone that I'd come a week later then I actually did. My sisters faces were pretty priceless too!
That reminded me of the surprise that I made for my family when I got my dog. I didn't tell them anything before because I knew their reactions by heart after talking about getting a dog back in Finland during so many years. So the day of the adoption I just made a video for my family saying something like "Hey family, I just wanted to introduce you our newest family member" then I picked Bumbi up and showed her to the camera saying "Bumbar Tuhkanen". Hahahah it was the funniest thing ever, at least from my point of view. It's a shame that no one has the video anymore.
Even though I don't like to plan things much in advance, I have all kinds of lists in my phone. Like for example "when you get home: laundry, lunch, pay the bills". I have the tendency to start doing something and then get lost doing it for ages, so I need these lists to get the everyday life things done. Yes, I also have "lunch" and "dinner" written in there, because I used to forget to eat. Nowadays I usually remember to eat, but I write it down anyway. Oh, and isn't "have you eaten?" the most romantic question ever?
